艋舺游牧

參展藝術家/邱杰森&莫珊嵐

Two-minute sample photo montage (In total, there are around two hours of footage.)
A city offers many ways to go around it, each offering distinctive angles on the urbanscape and life, so this month we went on a road trip around Wanhua, exhausting its streets from the biggest to the smallest, by car.
Taipei is a city made for cars (and scooters) so the pedestrian doesn’t have his place on the road and must cross quickly the street. The view angle offered from there, therefore, is reserved for those who are seeing the city from a car window. It reminds me of my first experience “in” a Taiwanese city, strolling through Google Street View, even if it is now in an animated city, with people going around with their life, the angle and the frame of the window give a similar experience as the screen frame.
